Brett Adcock, founder and CEO of robotics company Figure, said on X on October 4 that his personal-AI product Hark is scheduled to launch this week — and that the first 100,000 registered users will receive the paid plan for free. He also opened a waitlist. Hark's official website describes the product as a service that helps users complete various everyday tasks.
Hark is the personal-AI lab Adcock started in late 2025, reportedly seeded with $100 million of his own money, according to reporting by The Information. The company's vision is a persistent personal AI that builds a rich, evolving understanding of its user — with persistent memory across conversations, multimodal interfaces (speech, vision, text), and eventually dedicated hardware. Its August 5 research preview, Hark Handoff, put one concrete piece of that strategy on display: an agent that uses a virtual computer, browser, file system and terminal to complete tasks online — placing food orders, shopping, booking restaurant tables, and researching and arranging travel. Hark says the agent interacts with websites by clicking, scrolling and typing, including sites without public APIs.
The free-for-100K offer is Hark's clearest consumer acquisition pitch so far, and it will test whether its browser agent can turn that ambition into a product people actually use day to day. A few details remain unspecified: Adcock said in his post that he now uses the product for everything, but did not say how long the free paid plan lasts or what it includes — check Hark's official site for terms before signing up.
